Stop HR 3261 (SOPA) and S 968 (PIPA) Internet Blacklist Bills

Congress needs to hear from you, or these dangerous bills will pass – they have tremendous lobbying dollars behind them, from large corporations reportedly hoping to prop up outdated, anti-consumer business models at the expense of the very fabric of the Internet — recklessly unleashing a tsunami of take-down notices and litigation, and a Pandora’s jar of “chilling effects” and other unintended (or perhaps intended?) consequences.

Monster Cable considers craigslist a “rogue site” for takedown under PIPA - they want to prevent YOU from selling your unwanted cables so they can increase sales! Many other “rights holders” want to do the same. Boycott anyone? There is an app for that.

SOPA/PIPA supporters want to block you from reaching ANY site they think is hurting their profits — without due process or review in any court — by (can you believe this?) interrupting Internet traffic via DNS at ISPs and by censoring search engine results. Many lawmakers are prepared to give them that right.

Congress is starting to backpedal on this anti-American nonsense, but SOPA/PIPA cannot be fixed — they must be killed.

Sen Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Rep Ron Wyden (D-OR) are championing an alternative to SOPA/PIPA called Online Protection and Enforcement of Digital Trade Act (OPEN) that focuses on cutting off payments to foreign sites dedicated to piracy, and refrains from disrupting basic Internet protocols, or threatening mainstream US sites like craigslist.

Tim O’Reilly, a publisher subject to piracy, asks whether piracy is even a problem, and whether there is a need for any of these bills.

I recently listened to a brilliant interview on Red Ice Creations with a guy named Alan Abbadessa, who compiled a book on the subject of Synchromysticism, called The Sync Book.  He also puts out a great blog to addle your head called http://allthehappycreatures.blogspot.com/

The information he shares is so trippy, but it trapped my interest like a tiny gnat in a giant  spider web.  I honestly can’t even begin to explain what this stuff is about and do it any justice.  But basically, the idea Abbadessa puts forward is that there is something extremely bizarre happening in this world of ours.  He doesn’t completely discount the idea that there are likely human based conspiracies that are at the root of many of our history’s greatest mysteries, rather he feels those human conspiracy groups are a footnote to something much grander.  This doesn’t mean he’s looking for an alien, or extraterrestrial answer either.  He states that it seems as if the Universe itself is operating a confounding grand conspiracy.  In this interview, his presentation of this idea is riveting and entertaining, not to mention he gives the added bonus of bending the landscapes of our minds into new shapes and sizes. This is my boy Bart.  He came into our lives when he was seven weeks old, and for almost eight years he’s been our family’s constant companion, kitty guardian, and resident comedian.  He is my pride and joy and my best friend. We have shaped our whole lives around this guy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We only travel to pet friendly places we can get to by car, so our loyal buddy can always accompany us, and we never stay away too long when he’s at home waiting.

Earlier this year, Bart had surgery on his right knee to help heal a tear in his A.C.L.  It was a hard road to go down, since he already had his other knee repaired four years ago and we knew we were in for no picnic.  We were reluctant to put him through surgery again, but it needed to be done.  Aside from the fact that he had to spend an entire, excruciating night away from us at the hospital, from my dog’s perspective it was pure torture due to the fact that we had to restrict his activity for several weeks.  He became so visibly bored at times that we devised little games to help cheer him up.  The best of these games was the old find-a-creature-on-the-walk trick, where he sometimes encountered a wayward squeaky toy just waiting to be scooped up and absconded away.  Of course, either my partner or I would smuggle said squeaky toy outdoors without notice and drop it when my pooch wasn’t looking, but we first came up with this idea when he actually did find a squeaky toy in the grass on his own. He was so proud every time he found his prize that he would guard it like a running back after receiving the ball. We ended up buying several of the exact same creature, small, spearmint green and all.   He must have thought he was harvesting squeaky little neighborhood creatures that had a recent population boom.

The appropriate amount of time had finally passed for healing, and we began doing fun dog things again, going for longer walks, playing ball, walking on the beach, rough housing with other dogs. All was returning to normal until Memorial Day weekend when he woke in the night with explosive diarrhea that would not go away without help from the vet.  It happened four times over the course of the next few months.  We thought perhaps he had a parasite, but the vet could determine no bugs in his stool.  They sent the stool sample to an outside lab, where they found he was giardia free and healthy as far as can be seen.  Upon going through the fourth bout, things looked promising when our vet gave us something different called Tylan Powder, or magic powder, as we fondly dubbed the yellow debris.  It was a calm Saturday, and Bart was just relaxing at home because diarrhea, as most of us know, can be truly taxing on a body.  But by 1:30 that same day, things began to shift in a scary and dramatic way. Bart began stalling in an unusual way on our walk.  I finally had to carry him home because he refused to budge after a while.  In a matter of an hour, he began writhing in pain on the living room floor, shivering so hard his teeth were chattering.  Being an energy healer, I swooped down upon him and showered him with healing vibes until he calmed down considerably, but he wasn’t really showing complete relief, and his body began retching in a backwards fashion.  We thought maybe he had bad gas or a reaction to some cooked potato peels from the bland chicken and potato diet we’d been feeding him, but the call to the emergency vet assured us that there was something else happening that needed to be looked into ASAP.

After rushing to animal ER, I had to carry my 62 pound baby from the car into the waiting room.  He was in too much pain to rest on the floor, and insisted on resting in my lap.  Clear fluid with chunks of potatoes slipped from his mouth, splattering at my feet and causing the vet techs to hasten us to an examination room.  We had no idea what was happening.  The whole world started spinning as they took my boy into the back.  My partner and I sat dumbfounded, helpless in the waiting room. Time crawled to a surreal pace.  We halfheartedly gawked at a nearby television showing a food channel reality show featuring a doughnut making contest until we were  jolted by the sound of a lab tech calling into our limbo, “Bart?”  Again we were summonsed into a special examining room, and like two hungry barn hens, we scurried to the room.  A large statured, blonde, German-esque woman told us that Bart’s hydration levels were dangerously low and he needed to be kept on an I.V. drip over night.  As hard as that was to hear, the woman’s hulking presence gave me confidence, and we had to tear ourselves away and leave our little man in the hands of these capable folks who could help him in ways I could not.  We shared a tearful goodbye, and anxiously awaited his retrieval after a very long, sleepless night.  Per hospital rules we were not allowed to get him until 10 am on Sunday morning, so we devised our weekly shopping trip at a grocery store close to the vet – which was 30 minutes away from home – and timed it so we would be finished just before 1o.  We actually finished around 9:30 and had to keep ourselves occupied because hospital policy dictates that you need to call before you come by to visit, and calls between 7 am and 10 am were off limits due to shift changes and rotations.

By 9:59 am, I could no longer stand waiting, and I was on the phone calling to say I’m ready to pick up my Bart.  The woman at the front desk said we could come in anytime and the doctor would be able to speak to us about his condition.  I thought, “That’s weird.  I just want to take him home.  Surely he’s hydrated by now.”  So I informed her that we were actually just around the corner and would be right in.  It was a busy Sunday morning, and we waited for what seemed like an eternity before we were met by a different doctor from the previous night.  I kept waiting for her to tell us we could take him home, but instead her words morphed out like Charlie Brown’s teacher as she spoke of fluid in his stomach, and ultra-sound, and a possible mass, and on call surgeons. My ears heard the words but my heart was not having it.  I became angry with this new doctor.  How could she not see that my dog was just really sensitive and scared because he’s not used to being away from home without us?  After I got a few “logical” questions in, she stood firm, and refuted my logic with great patience and persistence. Something was really wrong, and it wasn’t just dehydration. Something in his digestive tract was inhibiting him from absorbing last night’s hydration treatments and at the same time causing fluid to back up into his stomach. Words of possible prognoses fluttered around me like pesky gnats, worst case scenarios and best, but all I clearly heard was, “You can have a seat in the waiting room before we’ll call you to visit with him in back.”  Visit, the word was like a kick to the stomach.  When we went in back to his caged hospital room, we cried and cried and apologized to our dog.  I apologized for crying, and I apologized for not being able to bring him home, and I apologized for crying some more.  Then we left so we could get him some food from home because he wouldn’t eat anything at the vet.  The day slipped away before we got a phone call from the vet. I heard my partner, on the phone, weakly crumble, “Can we at least get there to see him first?” Bart was about to go into emergency surgery and if things went badly, she was told, they might need to euthanize him on the table. Everything dropped to the floor. We grabbed our keys and jackets and bolted. This time, I was the calm one.  We took turns.  So I drove the thirty minute trip, trying to stay calm.  As soon as we arrived they ushered us into another exam room, and through the opposite door stumbled in a dazed Bart.  We grabbed him and cried into his neck.  We told him we loved him, and that if he needed to leave us, we understood, but if he wanted to stay and fight we supported him completely.  They took him from us and we waited. For how long, I can’t really say.  The goal during our wait was to have pure positive thoughts only.  Science tells us that our thoughts shape our world and I wasn’t about to test that theory through contrarian measures.  An interesting side effect of focusing on only positive thoughts, time sort of shifts and flows differently.

He made it through the surgery, and he did well.  He did great, actually.  The vet asked us if we wanted to see him before we left for home, assuring us it wouldn’t rile him up, for he wouldn’t even know we were there.  Well, he did know, and he tried to get up to leave with us.  He remained at the emergency vet for three more days, and every day the doctors told us how surprised they were by his wonderful recovery.  Bart, being a pit bull or American Staffordshire Terrier (AmStaff), is a member of a breed notorious for a high tolerance for pain. He had the entire hospital staff amazed by his resilience and determination. He was up and about the next day, loving his trips outside every two hours for a little relief. By early Wednesday evening we were ecstatic to be able to bring him home again.  I honestly think even the cats missed him.  And as I write this, he is lying on his favorite dog bed recovering from a surgical procedure that would have rendered any human being incapacitated for the first several days.

He’s tough and tender all at the same time.  Most of all, he’s my baby, and nothing could keep me from rescuing him.  Of course, having emergency surgery and staying at the ER vet for four whole days was not a small investment in my best friend’s well being, and so I’m reaching out to those who can help.  Anything is appreciated, a dollar, five dollars, or whatever you can spare, but to sweeten the impulse to action, I’ve decided to give back to those who do help us out.

I happen to be a really good painter and illustrator.  It’s kind of what I would consider my calling.  I have been doing pet portraits from photographs for fun, as a hobby for family and friends for a few years now, so that is the best thing I have to offer anyone who feels compelled and capable of helping me out.  Below I have structured a tier system of gifts for certain levels of contributions.

How to Open Your Third Eye (Open Portal Technique) by Jason Mangrum

Opening your third eye can freak you out if you’re not prepared for what you might experience.

I activated my third eye using a technique I learned for projecting astrally, and the most peculiar thing happened…

A bright-green cyclone appeared from the virtual space behind my eyelids and began to twist outward. This isn’t something I visualized or imagined… I could clearly see this cyclonic twisting tunnel and the more I watched it, the more it seemed to fade away.

It was like when I would place my focus on the cyclone, or try to make it twist, or see it better… it would vanish. But as soon as I realized what I was doing, I let go and simply observed. And in a few seconds it would come back, big and bright as ever.

I will share the particular technique I used with you in just a moment, but what’s most interesting is that once I disciplined myself to the point where I could just “be” and observe with pure awareness, the cyclone would stay and move further outward into the virtual empty space from behind closed eyes.

I could then project an image or a symbol representing someone I wanted to see, or some place I wanted to visit at the very end of this twisting tunnel and at some point there’s a *POP* and my conscious awareness would propel itself at an incredible speed through this strange tunnel.

Once it hit the “light” at the end, I would project out of body.

What’s even stranger is that after two weeks of doing this particular technique every day, I began to see the light green tunnel twisting outward about three or four feet away even while my eyes were open! I’ve never heard or read about this phenomenon anywhere, so to experience it firsthand astounded me.

I also discovered that I could close my eyes and project out of body in about 20-30 seconds while the tunnel was the strongest. This goes far beyond visualizing and imagining, for all intensive purposes, this was real.

And it became a bit too much. For a few weeks after, the green twisting cyclone would actually obstruct the view of physical objects in my vision. While fascinating and stunning, this began to make life a tad more difficult than it needs to be.

Sure, I could pretty much go astral on command, but it was at the cost of my sanity and stability in the physical world. Astral thought-forms and entities would sometimes “bleed through” into the physical dimension and I would see them moving around, flying, floating almost mindlessly until vanishing into an invisible veil of some sort.

This happened multiple times daily, and only started getting worse.

This isn’t an astral horror story, but I figured it may be of use to you for you to know of the uber-strangeness than can happen when you actually start putting these things into practice on a daily basis. Weirdness becomes commonplace. (I know you’re probably wondering, “was this guy on serious drugs?” and the answer is no. I was completely sober throughout this experience.)

The effect began to lessen as I simply stopped doing the technique on a daily basis. It is now gone but can be brought back anytime I begin to use the technique on a consistent basis… usually for a week or two.

I honestly have no name for it. I have no idea what it’s called, or who may have discovered it before me. I only know from a very intense, prolonged personal experience that it exists, and if I can do it, anyone can. You can too.

It creates what I can only describe as an open portal to another dimension. The portal will stay open after a short time of energizing it, and re-energizing it. This is done by using the technique over and over again, once before sleep at night, and again in the morning, just before getting out of bed.

Here is the Open Portal Technique…

1. Lie down and relax completely. Use the Total Relaxation Technique described in a previous blog post to help you relax and enter the Alpha level of mind. With either hand, take your pointer finger (index finger) and place it gently between and just below your eyebrows at the top of the bridge of the nose. Begin circling your finger clockwise and massaging this area gently for about 30 seconds. Afterward, pull your finger away and notice if you still feel a “swirling” effect in this area without touching it.

2. Once you feel the swirling sensation coming from inside your head in this area, simply observe the swirling of the energy, tilt your eyeballs upwards twenty degrees and see if the feeling intensifies. If there is a stronger sensation of swirling without touching the area, breathe in through the nose and as you do FEEL energy (you can pretend or imagine this part) rise up through the soles of your feet, upwards into the calves, moving upward into the legs, groin, hips, torso, up the spine, into the throat, head and into the swirling area of energy. This can be done with one single inhale. On exhale, feel the area strengthen and pulsate with a glowing power.

3. Again, inhale and bring the energy (imagined or felt is the same) upward through the soles, up the body through the spinal cord into the head and into that area of swirling energy. On exhale, feel the energy greatly intensify with power. Do this 33 times. That is 11 sets of three breaths – in and out. So breathe in, pull in energy into the area, breathe out, intensify and amplify the energy three times in a row, then do it again another three times, and then three more, etc. until you have performed this pattern eleven times total.

4. If you have done this and felt it as you’ve done it, you will no doubt be feeling a rather intense swirling effect going on in this particular area of your head. You can probably re-create the feeling in a few seconds now by simply thinking of the swirling. It’s still important to pull in energy from the quantum vacuum and direct it into this area to strengthen and solidify the energetic form.

5. Repeat this every night before bed, and every morning before getting out of bed. Do this for two weeks. You will most likely begin to “see things” pretty quickly afterward. I don’t know for certain if you will see the same things I did, such as the light-green twisting cyclone, but you will have activated and opened your third eye to the point where your awareness will be greatly expanded.

6. This makes it easier than ever to actually project your conscious awareness through the tunnel and go wherever you want, just by placing a mental image of where you want to go or who you want to see at the perceivable end of the tunnel. It is highly recommended that you keep a journal right by your bedside so you can write down whatever words or images come to you upon your re-integration into the physical body… you have less than 10 seconds from that point to remember what happened.

7. After two weeks of doing this technique, I wouldn’t recommend continuing it on a daily basis as an overload of energy can cause other systems in the body/mind to become somewhat unbalanced, and from my experience can cause a bit of chaos. Experiment wisely, and record your results. If things get too intense, back off completely, readjust your schedule and do it less often.

Please keep in mind that if one is not properly prepared or protected, it is not a safe practice to open portals such as this.

Before doing ANY astral or energetic work, it is very important to saturate yourself mentally in a violet light. This may not make any logical sense, but the color violet is very high on the spectrum of light and vibrates at very high frequencies. Higher frequencies “chase away” lower ones and lower vibrations simply cannot exist in the same space as higher vibrations. (i.e. “light chases away the darkness”)

Give this technique an honest try if you are the adventurous type and would like to see what else is truly ‘out there.’

Remember, don’t just try this once, twice or three times and expect a result. You may, or may not get one. But doing this technique twice daily for two full weeks (that is 14 solid days in a row) — will prove to you that you are a spiritual being having a human experience.

How’s that as food for thought?  It kind of makes me think that the quest for my own personal purpose in life has been a bit miscalculated.  Everything has its place. We are each here to do what we feel most compelled towards doing. Your innate cravings to be an artist, writer, speaker, dancer, mathematician, teacher, whatever, are made of the stuff that turns the Earth in it’s rotation.  Perhaps the reason we are enduring major crises on this planet has much to do with the fact that most of us spend our days earning a living doing what we really don’t want to be doing. If nature is brave enough to take a risk by creating us in order to move toward expansion, we should at least return the favor by being that which makes us sing inside and out.

First you have to consider the source of this movie to which you are referring – from the people who brought you SAW. Saw is considered torture porn. So the movie Insidious (though I have never seen it and I likely never will) was created for the purpose of bringing the viewer into a fearful state. Not good for the soul. When you start to look into things like the fact that we are all energy, everything in the physical world is energy, and everything has an energetic vibrational output – you have to ask yourself a few questions.
1. How can you tell the higher and lower vibrational differences between people, movies, music, and media?
answer – you should ponder this yourself, but here’s a clue: higher vibrational people and information make you feel really good, empowered, and often times it makes you feel a sense of empowered certainty. Lower makes you feel fear. Fearful people are powerless, easy to manipulate and unclear about what to do next.
2. Can lower vibrations effect me, and bring me to a lower place myself?

3. What does it take to ensure your vibrational status remains typically higher?
answer – meditation, eating healthy organic foods, more veggies less meat, and avoiding things like the nightly and daily news, torture porn, television in general. This list can be quite endless. A wonderful empowering resource everyone should look into and use on a regular basis is EFT. http://www.eftuniverse.com/ Also look at youtube for hundreds of EFT sessions – some are crap, but people like Brad Yates, Margaret Lynch and Carol Look are wonderful places to start.

Lastly I want to stress that you should NEVER try astral travel or leaving your body when you are coming from a fearful place. Just don’t do it. Work on yourself and find your seat of power through right thinking (non-judgmental – I don’t recommend looking to dogma or religious prejudices when I use this term) and power through meditation. I hear yoga is a great tool for getting yourself into higher vibrational alignment as well. When you are ready, you will know it. Good luck and take care of yourself.

As far as what to expect, I can’t even begin to tell you. It is very personal for everyone, and the astral realms are limitless as to what they are like.  I used to bounce on my ceiling when I was a kid.  Can’t really give you more on it than that from my perspective.
